Last week, our team was in Novo Airão – AM, to carry out a compensatory planting near the Anavilhanas National Park, a true natural treasure! Located in the heart of the Amazon, the river archipelago formed by the waters of the Rio Negro is an ecological paradise, full of biodiversity and culture.

This planting presented a new challenge: transporting the seedlings to the area by boat, crossing the waters of the Rio Negro. In addition, it was necessary to choose the species that would best adapt to the natural fluctuations of water levels. With great care and expertise, we planted approximately 800 seedlings from around 20 native species of the region, with highlights including buriti, patuá, andiroba, cupuaçu, bacaba, and umari.

This was undoubtedly a memorable planting in our journey, not exactly for its size, but mainly for the new challenges and the beautiful landscapes and companionship of the dolphins we encountered.
