Forest Engineer, graduated in 2005 from ESALQ/USP and PhD in Plant Biology from Unicamp (2013). Specialist in the qualification and quantification of biodiversity, forest management, restoration, management of natural areas and conservation strategies. He has experience in Geographic Information System (GIS), modeling and analysis of biological and land use data, and in the development of public policies. He has been working in the environmental area since 2007, executing and coordinating projects in all Biomes and States of Brazil.
Celso Fiori is Director of Natural Climate Solutions and Bioenergy for Mercuria Energy Trading in Brazil and a member of Geonoma’s Board of Directors. An Agronomist and PhD from the University of São Paulo – ESALQ, Celso has extensive experience in agriculture, bioenergy and climate change. He currently leads the development of Mercuria’s carbon and environmental products projects and businesses in the country. Before joining Mercuria, he was BP’s Director of Institutional Relations and Communication, having led the Company’s carbon initiatives in Brazil.
Biologist graduated from IB/USP in 2010, Master in Plant Biology FROM UNICAMP in 2012 and PhD in Plant Biology FROM UNICAMP in 2017. Specialist in botany and ecology. Communicator and speaker. He has more than 15 years of experience in the environmental area, with extensive field experience, having conducted field surveys in all Brazilian biomes. He owns a Youtube channel with more than 60,000 subscribers with great reach in the environmental area – professionals and landowners.
